What is sustainability?- Sustainable products are notable for the fact that they can be manufactured and used over long periods without impacting negatively on society and the environment. In ecological terms, the sustainable manufacture of products therefore calls for the use of renewable raw materials (e.g. wood, vegetable oil). Sustainable economic success depends on both product quality (performance, yield) and price. The third aspect of sustainability is the social component in the form of credibility and confidence in the manufacturer. A product can be regarded as sustainable only if all three dimensions are equally present. And it is only with such products that society can develop sustainably in the future.
